More Assistance for Livestock Producers with Disaster Aid Measure

The House of Representatives has passed an omnibus spending bill for 2018 by a vote of 256-167 and now awaits the Senate. Despite this recent development livestock producers are still waiting to benefit from a disaster relief bill that was passed on the last budget act.

The disaster aid package would benefit those who are impacted from events like last year’s wildfires or hurricanes.

According to officials from the Farm Service Agency the disaster relief package helps provide more aid to livestock producers dealing with losses.
