Cow and Bull Auction 7/29/15

Receipts:  389    Last Week:  532    Last Year:  621

   Compared to last Wednesday, slaughter cows sold steady and slaughter
bulls sold steady to 2.00 higher. The offering included a light supply
of bred cows and only a handful of cow/calf pairs. Heat and high humidity
continue to be major factors limiting the movement of livestock. Supply
was light and demand moderate for slaughter classes.

   Bred Cows:  Medium and Large 1-2  4 yrs to short and solid mouth 2nd and
3rd stage 1100-1365 lbs 1700.00-2100.00, 1st stage pkg. 1270 lbs 1600.00; broken
mouth to aged 2nd and 3rd stage 1095-1255 lbs 1205.00-1450.00. Large 1-2  4-7
yrs 2nd and 3rd stage 1425-1550 lbs 2000.00-2250.00; broken mouth to aged 3rd
stage 1400-1525 lbs 1850.00-2050.00. Medium and Large 2  6-7 yrs 1st stage
1135-1225 lbs 1330.00-1375.00. Medium 1-2  4-5 yrs 1st stage 1000-1025 lbs
1500.00-1600.00 per head.

   Cow/Calf Pairs:  Medium and Large 1-2  3 yr black 1245 lb cow w/270 lb
calf and rebred 1st stage 3200.00, couple pkgs. 5-6 yrs mixed 1285-1320 lb cows
w/babies to 275 lb calves and a few rebred 2010.00-2350.00 per pair.
