Carthage - Joplin Regional Stockyards
Cow and Bull Auction 3/04/15

Receipts: 242 Last Week: 478 Last Year: 640

Compared to last Wednesday, slaughter cows and slaughter bulls sold 3.00-
4.00 higher. A combination of freezing rain, sleet and snow this morning made
travel difficult and limited receipts. Packer buyers were willing to pay more
for the limited supply. The offering included a light supply of bred cows and
only a couple cow/calf pairs. Supply was light and demand very good for
slaughter classes.
