Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 08/31/2010

   Demand moderate for this week’s Joplin Video Auction.  The video auction was
held in conjunction with Joplin's regular feeder cattle sale.  Cattle offered
are in Missouri, Kansas and Arkansas.  Bulk of the cattle will be hauled ten
to twenty miles and weighed on the truck, with one load weighed on the ground.
A two percent pencil shrink and a four cent slide on the first fifty pounds over
base weight, six cents on the next forty pounds, and over ninety pounds contract
voidable.  Supply included 64 percent steers, 36 percent heifers, with 100
percent over 600 lbs.
